ACCREDITATION
Goal: The symposium will feature an interactive format to enhance the educational impact. Internationally renowned gastroenterologists and selected advanced practice providers (APPs) in the management of IBD will lead the development of educational content and will serve as program faculty. The symposium will deliver emerging science and incorporate expert opinions on best practices for the diagnosis and management of patients with IBD.

Target Audience: The symposium will deliver focused, educational updates highlighting clinically relevant advances in the management of patients with IBD to gastroenterologists, gastroenterology nurses, nurse practitioners and physician assistants.

Learning Objectives:
Upon completion of this educational activity, participants should be able to:

Describe key clinical, endoscopic, and laboratory signs and symptoms of IBD

Summarize current approaches for diagnosing IBD

Implement evidence-based IBD treatment pathways to optimize the use of conventional and newer therapies in IBD patients

Collaborate effectively with practitioners of various disciplines to optimize the care of IBD patients

Utilize practical tools for managing access barriers and facilitating timely approval of therapies in IBD
