
ACCREDITATION
Program Overview: The joint providership of the Annenberg Center for Health Sciences at Eisenhower and Focus Medical Communications, in collaboration with Gastroenterology & Hepatology Advanced Practice Providers and Gi Health Foundation, presents Ins and Outs of IBD. The symposium will provide educational updates highlighting clinically relevant advances in the management of IBD and deliver emerging science and incorporate expert opinions on best practices for the diagnosis and management of patients with IBD.

Target Audience: The symposium will deliver focused, educational updates to health care professionals, including gastroenterologists, gastroenterology nurses, nurse practitioners, and physician assistants.

Learning Objectives:
Upon completion of this educational activity, participants should be able to:

Describe key clinical, endoscopic, and laboratory signs and symptoms of IBD

Summarize current approaches for diagnosing IBD

Implement evidence-based IBD treatment pathways to optimize the use of conventional and newer therapies in IBD patients

Describe current recommendations for health maintenance in IBD patients

Collaborate effectively with practitioners of various disciplines to optimize the care of IBD patients

Utilize practical tools for managing access barriers and facilitating timely approval of therapies in IBD
